The Old Coach House is a listed Regency period stable and coach house, newly converted to an exceptionally high standard. It retains many original features to remind guests of bygone, less hectic times, and it is easy to imagine the horse-drawn carriage still on the driveway. The stable itself is now a fully fitted kitchen with built-in fridge and dishwasher, yet still retains the original hay basket and exposed beamed ceiling. The original coach house and tack room has become an open plan living room with a feature corner fireplace, solid oak floor, with a truly magnificent oak beam supporting the ceiling.
The Old Coach House is set in quiet secluded gardens with ample safe parking and yet York's ancient city centre is only a ten minute stroll away. Local amenities include post office, shops, pubs and restaurants. The accommmodation provides immediate access to the main road leading to the superb Yorkshire Heritage Coast, approximately 50 minutes drive, and the stunning North York Moors. The Old Coach House welcomes families but we regret the building is non-smoking and is not suitable for pets.
