Harbourside House is located in the heart of the Old Town of Scarborough. Nestled under the Castle & directly in front of the Harbour, Quay Street is the oldest street in town and forms part of the famous Ghost Walk. Although close to all the local amenities, Quay Street is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Perfect for spending the day on the beach or perusing the local shops and market. The house is situated beside the Harbour which can be viewed from the house. South Bay Beach (European Blue Flag status) is two minutes walk away and the Town Centre 5 mins away. There are numerous restaurants, cafes and pubs within 10 minutes walk. Scarborough's famous North Bay is 15 minutes walk via the fabulous Marine Drive or a fun ride on the open top bus, and the historic Scarborough Castle, again viewed from the house, is a short, if steep walk away.

Rooms Description

The house is very large and perfectly suited for families or friends sharing.Up to twelve people can comfortably be accomodated. There are four bedrooms on the first floor. Two doubles, a twin and a fourth room with bunk beds suitable for chldren or teenagers. The second floor consists of a large apartment which has a double bed,'z' beds suitable for children and sofas. This room has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. Four large velux windows open onto Burr Bank with views up to the castle. The lounge has TV/DVD and leads into a dining room with a table that seats eight comfortably. Large sliding French doors lead from the dining room onto a good sized patio with barbecue facilities and garden table and chairs for al fresco dining. The kitchen has a large table & chairs for breakfast. There is private parking for two normal sized cars.

Specialities

Though the Harbourside House is best suited to larger groups, in low season part of the house can be sealed off to accommodate smaller groups of up to six people, for which discounts are applicable. Please enquire when booking. All bedding and bed linen is provided. Gas and electricity no extra charge. Please provide your own towels.
