The Old Sail Loft is a light and modern Whitby self catering holiday apartment set in a carefully restored Georgian listed building. The building sits alongside the River Esk and offers lovely views seaward towards the harbour. Stylishly furnished, centrally heated throughout and very well equipped, the apartment is designed to make your stay here comfortable and enjoyable at any time of year. There is off-road private parking for one car directly outside. Bed linen and towels provided.
Whitby is an unspoilt and friendly Yorkshire coast fishing town which combines its maritime heritage with traditional seaside attractions, craft shops and galleries, and great food. There is plenty to explore and discover in the town itself, including the historic abbey and Captain Cook Museum. should you wish to travel a little further afield, the spectacular heritage coast and the North Yorkshire Moors are within easy reach. Goathland, made famous by the TV series 'Heartbeat', makes for a great day trip.

On the top floor (although only a short staircase), our modern 2-bedroom apartment is comfortably furnished and is equipped to a high standard. There is a comfortable open plan living area with colour television, freesat, DVD, hi-fi, river views. The dining area opens to a fully fitted kitchen with built-in electric oven and hob, extraction hood, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave; views seaward towards the harbour. Additionally there is a double bedroom with king size bed and a smaller twin bedroom with two single beds. This apartment is all on one level.
Special to this property
We are happy to accept bookings for short breaks between October and March inclusive (including Christmas, New Year and at Easter), or by request and subject to availability, at other times of year. The apartment has parking. There is also a private mooring for a boat upto 30 feet in length and a shared patio area (sole use of the 8 old sail loft apartments) with excellent views of the harbour and the abbey.
