Email Enquiryfor more informationDragon Cottage is converted from the original six stall stable block of the George and Dragon Inn and provides self catering accommodation for up to five adults or four adults and two children in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The cottage is set in the centre of the village and the store, post office, pubs and shops are all just a short walk down the cobbled street. The cottage has been recently refurbished to a high standard and has all that you will need to make your stay a memorable and comfortable one.
Situated among the West Dales in the quaint village of Dent and near Sedbergh and Kendal, Dragon Cottage offers visitors the opportunity a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. For the adventurous guests, follow the famous Wainwright walks that cut through the Dales with less strenuous rambles to tougher walks available. Explore the surrounding villages such as Cowgill, Garsdale, and Gawthorp. Pop over into the Lake District and explore the picturesque scenery that this are of natural beauty boasts. Visit Kendal, the home of the Mint Cake, or the traditional village of Kirkby Lonsdale and enjoy a meal and a relaxing drink in a 18th Century pub.
The lounge area has seating for six with two double sofas, one a sofabed, and a reclining armchair. There is a colour TV with Sky channels, DVD player, video recorder and cd player for your entertainment. A selection of games, dvds, videos and CDs available for guests use.Stone built fireplace with log burner effect fire. The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, electric cooker and hob. To the rear of the cottage is a seated patio area where you can enjoy the warmer days. The master double bedroom has en-suite shower room, WC and wash basin. The second double bedroom has access to a private shower room with WC and wash basin. Each is equipped with colour TV. Bed linen is provided and towels can be provided by arrangement.
Guests are provided with one parking space to the rear though a residents permit is available for use in the public car park, which is just a short walk away.
