Our superb position, only 3 mins walk from the centre of the market town, makes this the ideal base for exploring the town, the Creamery, the Ropemaker or the surrounding dales. Breakfast is served in our dining room where we offer a choice between a full English or continental breakfasts, cooked to order, that include vegetarian options. All of our ingredients are locally sourced from local suppliers. a light supper can be provided for late arrivals by prior arrangement.
Wensleydale House B&B is ideally located in the Yorkshire Dales, half way between Kendal and Richmond. Guests can explore the stunning scenery of the Dales by walking or cycling along the many trails and pathways that cut through the rolling hills. Why not go climbing, play a round of golf or go fishing among the lakes and streams. Travel West into Cumbria and North Lancashire to spend a day in the tranquil town of Kirkby Lonsdale, Kendal or just a bit further is the Lake District where there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy and quaint shops and restaurants.
Wensleydale House offers guests comfortably furnished spacious ensuite bedrooms, guest lounge and a separate breakfast room overlooking our sun deck and beck (small stream). The house is centrally heated and on cooler nights guests can enjoy an open fire in the lounge room. For the comfort of all guests, current and future, Wensleydale House is a smoke free home and unfortunately pets are not accepted. Our two double rooms (1 room can be made into a twin room) with en-suite accommodation each have spectacular views of the Wensleydale Valley. Our ensuite bedroom suite each have a luxury bed, nice shower, large mirror, shaving socket, fluffy towels, tv, clock radio and hostess tray.
We offer a warm welcome, lovely bedrooms and hearty breakfast. The kettle is always on so you can enjoy a pot of tea or coffee to help unwind when you get here. Wireless internet access is available on request. We have undercover storage for bicycles and can offer offstreet parking for motor cycles only.
