Set in six acres of garden, wildflower meadow and paddock and surrounded by forest and open farmland, we are 9 miles from Pickering and on the doorstep to the moors. With waymarked walks and cycle paths straight from our door, we are an ideal base for those who enjoy walking, cycling and the `great outdoors`.. we have a heated boot room for boots, jackets and equipment and safe cycle storage. Children over 10 years old are welcome.
Join us on a badger watch evening held from May to August in a purpose built hide in the forest. Watch the badgers in their natural habitat as they play and feed as they emerge from their sett. Foxes, deer, various birds and other wildlife may wander into view .. Places are limited, so book early! Owners Sue and Ben live on site, and are always happy to help. Meadows Edge is ideal for up to 4 people and has an inviting open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting room with a large feature fireplace and woodburning stove. The kitchen has an electric cooker with grill, fan oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. Alternatively, enquire about Middlehead Cottage, a traditional stone farmhouse fully refurbished in 2005 and comfortably sleeping 4 to 5 people. The accommodation is full of charming character features, with all the modern conveniences you need for a truly memorable holiday in North Yorkshire. Brock Cottage sleeps 4 and comprises of a fully equipped country kitchen with dishwasher, fridge with freezer shelf, electric cooker with grill and fan oven, microwave, toaster and kettle. The sitting room offers comfortable seating and a 32" LCD TV with surround sound home entertainment centre. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, a king size and a twin which can also be a super king sized room. Both rooms have their own en-suite shower room and wall mounted LCD TVs. There are wonderful, far reaching views of the surrounding countryside.
Willows End is a spacious cottage that can accommodate up to 5 people. It has a comfortable sitting room with wood burner and a large country style kitchen featuring a Rangemaster range cooker. Upstairs there are two twin/super king bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms as well as a separate bathroom and a single bedroom. The cottage also enjoys stunning views over open farmland.
