A cosy and well equipped self catering cottage (VisitBritain 3-Stars) on the northern edge of the Peak District in the hamlet of Carlecotes. The cottage enjoys an elevated position with open moorland views. The house is superbly located with easy access to the Trans Pennine Trail for walking and cycling. A sofa bed in the sitting room provides an additional bed - for example for a second child. Same sex couples welcome. The Old School House is on the edge of Summer Wine country and provides a quiet and remote base for exploring the Peak District. There is easy access by rail from Glossop and Penistone to the vibrant cities of Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield. The cottage has a single and a double bedroom, a small double sofa bed in the sitting room, plus a dining kitchen and bathroom.The cottage has a wood burning stove and oil fired central heating to ensure comfort during the winter months.

The cottage has a single and a double bedroom plus a small double sofa bed in the sitting room - for example for a second child. There is a well-equipped dining kitchen (large 'fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, use of tumble dryer, small microwave, radio, ironing facilities) and bathroom. The cottage has a wood burning stove in the sitting room, which is equipped with TV, video player, DVD player, and freeview box. There is oil fired central heating to ensure comfort during the winter months. Visitors may use the owner's secluded garden. An extra ground floor double bedroom and ensuite bathroom can be booked as part of the self-contained accommodation for a modest additional charge. Children are welcome. Well behaved dogs accepted by arrangement.
