It is a short drive into the heart of the historic city of York. McArthur Glen Designer Outlet and Park & Ride is within easy reach as well as York racecourse. We are within easy reach of York University, Fulford Golf Club, Naburn Lock caravan site, Elvington Airfield and Selby The Arriva 42 has a regular bus service during the day if you prefer to not to drive Stay local to the Stillingfleet and you can enjoy visiting the village's Norman Church and Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens and the Cross Keys. Nearby is Naburn Grange riding centre, Naburn Marina, Naburn Lock Caravan Park, Escrick Park, Queen Margaret's School and the Sustrans Transpennine cycleway. Stillingfleet is easily approached from the South, M62, A1 & M1 so The Armouries at Leeds, The North york Moors, Eureka, The east Coast and Bronte country are easy day trips
The spacious Poppy Room is a king size room that can be reconfigured as a twin, it is en-suite with a shower room and walk in cloakroom. Our Lilac Room is a double room with en-suite shower room. We have a separate bathroom with a claw foot bath available on request for those preferring a soak. Both rooms contain a flat screen TV, mini fridge, milk, water, juice, hair dryer,sewing kit and other things you may require or have forgotten!! Each room has a hospitality tray with tea, coffee, herbal tea, chocolate and homemade biscuits. If staying more than one night we will leave you homemade cakes for your afternoon tea when you return. The cottage annex can be configured with a double wall bed and single beds upstairs for a family of 4 or a king size upstairs and lounge/ diner downstairs for a couple. The shower room is accessed from the bedroom The annex can be self catering with cereals, toast and drinks provided or we can serve breakfast in your own dining area to suit the children or the house dining room for couples. It is ideal for young families so they can be put to bed upstiars whilst you are downstairs, couples prefering the privacy of their own lounge.
Free WIFI is throughout house. Pc, fax, iron and ironing board available on request Comfortable lounge with log fire in winter and garden with a view' in summer. There is a traditional pub in the village and various pubs, Thai, Italian, Indian and traditional reataurants within a 3 mile radius. Trained at the Cordon Bleu and spending years in the catering industry, Hilary is happy to provide dinner midweek if you prefer to stay in. It must be prebooked, and there may be occasions we are not able to. We can however serve hot or cold snacks in the evening if you do not want to go out. We can cater for special diets and vegetarians. Secure lock up facilities available for bikes and motorbikes, but sorry we cannot accept pets.
Single occupancy of a double room is half the room price plus £10. Single rooms at weekends are charged at the double occupancy rate
