Bridgefoot House is a welcoming and charming guest house situated next to a trout stream in the pretty North York Moors National Park village of Thornton-le-Dale. The house began life as the residence of the school master at the local grammar school in the seventeenth century and is situated next door to the famous thatched cottage. The house now provides spacious and friendly B & B accommodation for visitors to the village. In the summertime, relax in our guest garden where breakfast can be served on fine days.
The picturesque village of Thornton-le-Dale is steeped in history and the village stocks and market cross are still in existence on the small village green. Thornton-le-Dale lies between Pickering, Scarborough, Malton and Whitby and provides the ideal base for touring the North Yorkshire Moors and the wonderful countryside and coast. The historic city of York with its well preserved walls and streets, museums and historical buildings is only 28 miles away.
