Exquisitely decorated and furnished Five Star Ashmount Guesthouse in the heart of Bronte country in Haworth is particularly special. The recently renovated guesthouse was once the home of Charlotte Bronte's physician, Dr Amos Ingham. The house now boasts Victorian Charm having been renovated to the standards of Dr Ingham’s period. For those wanting a weekend away this hotel is perfect for its character. It boasts eleven individually themed rooms all of which are fitted to a luxury standard, some even having their own private patios and hot tubs! The hotel also provides a variety of extras to make your trip that much more special. For a romantic twist you can arrange to have rose petals strewn about your room or even a champagne picnic on arrival.
Our locale is ideal as we are just a three minute walk from the centre of Haworth village. Haworth itself boasts a superb range of specialist craft shops, country inns and tearooms, as well as the Bronte Parsonage Museum and local steam railway. We're the perfect peaceful retreat, situated in a very private position surrounded by one hectare of gardens. Guests can expect outstanding views of the Worth Valley and the Yorkshire moors beyond, with easy access to the walk to Top Withins.
We have a variety of individually themed en-suite rooms. These rooms are of a luxury standard and there are a number of options available such as rooms with four poster beds, log burning fires, whirlpool baths, marble vanities, hot tubs, and private patios. Most rooms have super king size beds, however the option of twin bedding is available for some rooms. Cots are available on request. All rooms have comfy armchairs or sofas to relax in. Many of the rooms have fantastic views of the wonderful gardens and the moors beyond. Ground floor rooms are available. Most of the rooms have large flat screen TVs with freeview, WiFi access, CD player with alarm, a very well stocked hospitality tray, soft fluffy towels, Gilchrist and Soames Spa toiletries and complimentary sherry on arrival.
No need to worry about parking in Haworth, ample private car parking space is provided for guests, conveniently out of sight of the road. The House is fully licensed to serve drinks in the afternoon and evening. Extra services can be arranged such as: rose petals arranged around your room upon arrival, fresh bouquet of hand tied flowers, strawberries and chocolate platter, champagne picnic for two, champagne breakfast in bed for two, or afternoon tea/ champagne tea.
