Victoria House makes an excellent base for touring the Dales. Richmond itself is a typical Yorkshire town and enjoys a weekly market and a good selection of restaurants, traditional pubs and shops all overlooked by the charming 11th Century Castle. Set on the banks of the River Swale with its waterfalls and spectacular walks and views. Its cobbled market place is said to be one of the largest in England. Walking, cycling, horse riding or simply exploring, the Yorkshire Dales makes the ideal outdoor playground.
Victoria House is externally in keeping with and in the style of older properties in Richmond, yet internally, Victoria house enjoys sleek lines with shining marble tiled floors and clean modern décor. Offering two fresh, clean, contemporary double bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor. Each en-suite room has a king-sized bed with luxurious Egyptian cotton bed linen and fluffy white towels. Both rooms have flat screen digital TVs with Freeview, alarm clock/radio, hairdryer, and a complimentary tray with teas, coffees, biscuits and fresh milk. The rooms also have free Wi-Fi for guests use. Victoria House also offers free safe parking. An extensive breakfast is served each morning with a menu using local products wherever possible for free range eggs, bacon, sausages and home-made muesli and preserves. All of our cooked items are made to order.
