Willance House Guest House - Richmond

A seventeenth century guest house offering four star bed and breakfast accommodation on cobbled Frenchgate, close to Richmond's Market Place.

Willance House Guest House offers a warm and friendly welcome to one and all in the picturesque market town of Richmond, North Yorkshire. The property is a grade II listed building set in Frenchgate, a cobbled street just two or three minutes walk from the town's Market Place. The house is reputedly ine of the oldest in Richmond and originally belonged to Robert Willance, the town's first Alderman. Richmond is well placed for visiting the surrounding Yorkshire Dales and is overlooked by its 11th Century Castle, set on the banks of the River Swale with its spectacular walks and views.

On arrival, relax in our comfortable guest lounge with its original oak beam, Georgian fireplace and exposed floorboards and enjoy a complimentary pot of tea or coffee after your long journey. We offer an extensive breakfast made using local products wherever possible for our free range eggs, bacon, sausages and preserves. All of our cooked items are prepred freshly to order. Packed lunches are also available by prior arrangement and at a small extra charge.
