The Gallery Bed & Breakfast is perfectly placed to explore Thirsk, being less than two minutes walk from the Market Square, with its many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The World of James Herriot is directly across the road and Thirsk Racecourse is five minutes walk away. Set in the heart of Herriot Country, The Gallery is ideally located for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, York & Harrogate as well as Yorkshire's beautiful coastline, including the resorts of Whitby, Scarborough and Robin Hood’s Bay are within an hours drive.
The Gallery B&B offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, this Grade II listed building dates back to the 17th century and has been thoughtfully adapted to offer all the comforts expected in 4 star accommodation without losing the charm of its many original features. With newly refurbished en-suite facilities the three attractive rooms have digital TV/DVDs, free wireless internet access, hairdryers and well stocked tea/coffee making facilities. There is a small library in their hall with DVDs and local interest & walking books their guests are welcome to borrow during their stay. An award winning delicious Yorkshire breakfast is prepared fresh to order each morning, using locally sourced ingredients and fair trade products. There is a well-lit car park only 100m from The Gallery. Parking is also available on Kirkgate.
