Upon your arrival, you will be presented with a large luxurious double en-suite room (4 star English Tourist Board rating). The room also has French windows opening onto a balcony, enhancing the panoramic views of the village and beyond. The delightful market town of Thirsk is only four miles away, and you can learn everything you need to know about the veterinary author James Herriot as his surgery was based here.

Willow Tree Cottage is perfectly situated to explore the area. The North York Moors National Park is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and ramblers who like to experience some delightful walks and activities. The Cleveland way is a short walk away. There are many places and attractions to visit such as Malton, Helmsley, the abbeys of Rievaulx, Byland and Fountains. If you fancy venturing slightly further afield, the city of York, the Dales and East coast are not far away.

The room is beautifully styled and comes with a luxurious double bed. The en-suite facilities provide you with his & hers basins, a bath, bidet, toilet and bath/shower. French windows open onto the balcony overlooking the panoramic views of the village and beyond. There is a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, two-ring hob, microwave, convection oven and cooking utensils. There is also a colour TV, DVD player and comfortable chairs.

We are 4 star rated by the English Tourist Board. We only have one room so individual attention is assured. Children are welcome by arrangement with a small extra cost for children over 5 yrs. We can provide an extra bed on request for a child or to make the room a twin bedded room. A z bed is also available for a second child. Breakfast is served at a small table in the room. Home laid eggs, home made preserves, freshly squeezed juice ensure a fantastic breakfast.
