A charming Victorian Villa guesthouse, Fourposter Lodge dates from 1865 and has been beautifully renovated and furnished, featuring a selection of exquisite four poster double rooms. Ideal for romantic breaks, rooms boast stylish Sanderson fabrics and prints - whether your on business or leisure in York, we're the perfect choice, located only a 10 minute walk from York city centre attractions via Walmgate Bar and Fishergate and just a short stroll from the Barbican Centre and York University. WiFi internet access and limited secure parking are both available to guests.

All our individually styled 10 rooms are fourposter double rooms with either en-suite or private bathroom facilities. Many rooms retain beautiful Victorian original features including stunning fireplaces. Room choice varies in size and all are non smoking, with ground floor rooms available. Our large Bedroom 12 on the second floor features a double fourposter bed and a single bed (sleeps 2+1) and Room 8, our flexible room, sleeps 2+2. Both are ideal for families. Bedrooms are presented to the highest standards, with hairdryers, ironing facilities, well stocked hospitality trays and thermostatically controlled heating all available.

Hearty full English breakfasts are our speciality - fully inclusive in your stay, featuring a range of starters from porridge, cereals and juices to a main full cooked English breakfast, lighter egg options or alternatives including kippers, seasonal fresh fruit and yoghurt. Ample tea, coffee, toast and marmalade/jams are all made available. Guests are welcome to relax in the cosy lounge area and we provide limited floodlit and secure gated parking on-site. Check-in is between 1pm and 8pm, check-out is 10.30am.
