This attractive 1930's house is set within two acres of beautiful gardens in the village of Deighton and provides spacious en-suite accommodation. Offering a friendly welcome, great breakfasts and the perfect location for visiting the City of York and the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Pets are welcome. Grimston House offers safe private parking and is conveniently located for anyone wanting to enjoy the magnificence of York, it's glorious Minster and much more. York Racecourse and the University are also within easy reach.
Grimston Guest House is ideally located to the many things to do in York. York is a city full of history with fascinating streets and a plethora of shops, museums and galleries. The River Ouse winds its way through the city and many visitors find that a boat trip provides them with a different view of this splendid city. From Grimston House you can go fishing, enjoy horse riding and play golf all within a few miles. There are also some delightful walks in the countryside and we are a good base for those who wish to explore the North Yorkshire Moors. MacArthur Glen Designer shopping outlet is two miles away next to the Park and Ride.
The Grimston Guest House has five large well furnished bedrooms including one with a four poster bed, 1 x Family and 1 x twin. All rooms have a view of the gardens, en-suite bathroom, colour TV with digi box, hairdryer, radio alarms and hospitality tray. The family room which sleeps four is actually two rooms adjoining with double bed in one room and two singles in the other. In the morning awake to a full Yorkshire breakfast using fresh,local produce. For those with a smaller appetites, a Continental breakfast is served. The dining room overlooks the lovely gardens at the front of the house and is a pleasant way to start your day. No evening meals are served, but the White Swan Pub in the village is only two minutes walk and serves delicious food. In the next village half a mile away, The Black Bull pub serves good food all day and there is an excellent Thai restaurant.
