Monkgate Guest House was originally three cottages built around 1804 for a wood carver and cabinet maker. It is a grade II listed building. We are just outside the ancient city walls of York on Monkgate and well situated for York Minster and the main city area so convenient for business or pleasure.

All our bedrooms are individually furnished with colour television and tea and coffee making facilities. Our rooms are en-suite or have private facilities. We also have a ground floor bedroom that can be used as a quiet hideaway for a couple or makes a lovely room for a family of four.
