Despite its central position it is in an extremely quiet residential area and has a free private car park - an ideal base from which to explore York's attractions and its wide variety of shops and restaurants. The atmosphere is friendly and informal; relax in our cosy lounge with its interesting collection of books where tea and coffee are always available or on a summer evening with a cool drink in our small walled garden
We are situated in the very heart of York only 400 yards from York Minster yet enjoy a quiet side street location. Take advantage of our free private car park. Free WIFI Internet access available as well as computer for guests' use. We offer a traditional Yorkshire breakfast as well as smoked salmon & scrambled eggs, a vegetarian option and frequent special dishes. The Hazelwood is completely non smoking.
Our bedrooms are individually styled and have been tastefully fitted to the highest standards. They all have en-suite bathrooms and central heating and contain television, radio alarm, hairdryer, tissues and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities with homemade cake or biscuits on arrival. We have both double and twin rooms as well as one single. A number of double rooms have four poster or king (5ft) beds with luxurious pocket sprung mattresses. We can also offer both double and twin rooms on the ground floor
We regard breakfast as an important part of your stay and offer a wide choice catering for all tastes. Our traditional breakfasts are freshly cooked using locally sourced back bacon, pork sausages and eggs. There is a full vegetarian alternative or for the lighter taste a continental breakfast or scrambled eggs with smoked salmon served on a toasted English muffin.
