The four star rated Rockery Cottage B&B is a former 18th Century farmhouse set in the peaceful village of Wombleton, just three miles from Helmsley and Kirkby Moorside in North Yorkshire. Guests of Rockery Cottage B&B can expect a warm Yorkshire welcome with a range of home made cakes. We are proud of Yorkshire's fine produce and provide guests with a hearty Yorkshire breakfast made with the best of locally sourced produce - what better way to start the day? We have a private sitting room/library, separate dining room and large resident's lounge with open fire in which you can relax following a day spent exploring the countryside or coast. In the warmer months, feel free to enjoy the garden in the secluded summerhouse where you will find a collection of garden furniture.

This is the ideal base from which to explore the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and there are a great many attractions to be found within easy reach. Among these is James Herriot's Museum at Thirsk, Nunnington Hall, Byland Abbey, Rievaulx Abbey and the market town of Malton - just 20 minutes drive away. A little further afield is the historic city of York (35 minutes drive) and Castle Howard (20 minutes drive), both of which are well worth a visit.
