The George and Dragon Hotel is a newly re-furbished 17th Century Coaching Inn a haven of charm and hospitality in the market town of Kirkbymoorside. Ideally situated between Helmsley and Pickering at the edge of the North York Moors.Tthe G and D has real olde worlde charm, serving top-quality freshly prepared local produce in either the bistro or restaurant with a good choice of wines, international lagers and great real ales. Charming 4-poster ,superior and standard rooms available all en-suite.
Ideal for touring the moors, the coast or historic York and the many stately homes and heritage attractions. (Rievaulx Abbey, Nunnington Hall, Castle Howard, Duncombe Park, Steam Railway , Yorvic Centre and Flamingo Land.)

The rooms are individually styled each with a cosy feel there are standard doubles, twins & family rooms and a selection of superior rooms & suites. You will find quality furniture, modern bathrooms and remote control colour television, hospitality tray, direct dial telephone, hairdryer and clock radio. We also have a private car park at the rear of the hotel. Our two suites are particularly spacious one has a grandoise oak four-poster bed the other a 5ft. wrought iron bedstead.
