Welcome to Burythorpe House Hotel. This boutique country house is located on the edge of the small village of Burythorpe, close to both Malton and York. Our dedicated staff aim to make Burythorpe House Hotel one of the best small hotels in the country. We are very proud of our fine food and wine offered in the Priory Restaurant. It is intimate and atmospheric with oak panelling and contemporary artworks on display. The menu offers a choice of delicious locally sourced meals and Chef Daniel Farrall can often be seen wandering around the beautiful local countryside foraging for ingredients such as wild garlic and cicley. Our wine list, especially selected in collaboration with fine wine importers Pagendam and Pratt, draws from all the best wine making regions of the world. The restaurant is open to residents and non-residents alike and we recommend you book to avoid disappointment. Burythorpe makes a great base for walking, well sign posted routes stretch the local countryside. Castle Howard is just 20 minutes away by car, the Yorkshire Coast is in easy reach or why not head to York for a spot of shopping? York and Beverley Race Courses are also near and are a fantastic day out. There is plenty to see and do close to our hotel.
