The Old Lodge is a stunning North Yorkshire Hotel, and a historic former Manor Gatehouse, perfect for leisure breaks, weddings and celebrations. The hotel has been sympathetically refurbished and offers guests elegant country house hotel accommodation just a short walk from Old Maltongate town centre. Ample and secure parking is available and the hotel is surrounded by a large garden, open fields and a nearby wood, perfect for wedding photos! The setting is peaceful and ideal for relaxing or for walking holidays and branching out to explore the beautiful Yorkshire Moors. A warm welcome awaits guests in the oak panelled lounge which has a roaring log fire on cold days and winter nights. Bar meals are served during lunchtime together with tea/coffee or light snacks. Our hotel is fully licensed and provides an ideal setting to linger a while with a glass of fine wine. The Garden Restaurant offers an excellent traditional A la Carte menu with evening specials throughout the week. A lunchtime carvery and evening specials are also available through the week together with our great value Sunday lunch menu. The Old Lodge is a popular venue for business meetings and lunches and we are happy to cater for any number of people. Our function rooms are ideal to use as board rooms, company presentations or training seminars.

Rooms Description

All bedrooms within the Old Lodge reflect the ambience and charm of the hotel. Choose from 18 en-suite bedrooms, all of which are individually furnished to a high standard with telephone, television, trouser press, tea and coffee making facilities. A four-poster bedroom and honeymoon suite are also available as well as a room on the ground floor which has easy access.

Specialities

The Old Lodge Hotel makes the perfect wedding venue and we hold a civil ceremony licence and have a team of experienced wedding co-ordinators on-hand to assist. We have two licensed rooms for weddings. Our Jacobean Hall will take approximately 45 guests and our Garden room approximately 70. We can also organise your hassle free party. Every occasion, be it a birthday, anniversary, christening or private dinner will be individually catered for and prepared to suit your specific needs.
