The Blackboard Bar and Restaurant serves a daily changing menu of Great British cooking in a relaxed and comfortable setting. We only use the freshest local produce and pride ourselves in serving restaurant quality food at a fraction of the usual price. The Blackboard is open to both residents and non residents and booking is strongly advised, especially on weekends and during holiday periods.

Situated on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors the Beansheaf is an ideal base from which to explore the area's many attractions including Whitby, North York Moors Steam Railway, Pickering, Dalby Forest, Flamingo Land, Eden Camp, Castle Howard, Helmsley, Scarborough and York. 2 Conference rooms are available for all types of meetings, conferences, presentations, training days, functions, banquets and private parties for up to 100 delegates. The Beansheaf also has a Civil Wedding Licence for those wishing to get married at the hotel.
