The 18th century Kings Head Hotel has views of the Norman castle, the Green Howards Regimental Museum and the unique church of Holy Trinity. The artist J.M.W. Turner stayed at the hotel whilst painting in the area, describing the Kings Head as " The finest in Richmondshire ". There are two lounges, one non-smoking, one smoking.

A delicious selection of food is created each day by the hotel's kitchen team. Lunches and suppers are served in the bar along with a pint of hand pulled beer or wine chosen from the excellent selection.
