Ascot House in York offers four star guest accommodation in an attractive Victorian villa just a fifteen minute walk from the heart of the historic city centre. The house stands adjacent to public gardens with two tennis courts and two bowling greens. There is also an excellent pub nearby which offers good food and there are a wide variety of restaurants serving food from around the globe to be found within easy reach. Should you wish to venture a little further and see more of Yorkshire, then the Dales to the west, Moors to the north and magnificent Yorkshire coast can all be reached in around an hour's drive.
Ascot House has a spacious and comfortable resident's lounge where you can relax, watch television or enjoy a drink from the butler's pantry. Tea and coffee are also available throughout the day in this area. Our delicious traditional English and vegetarian breakfasts, served in the elegant dining room, are sure to get your day off to the best possible start. Continental options are also available from our buffet should you be seeking a lighter option. June and Keith Wood, together with their son and daughter, have an abundance of local knowledge which they are only too happy to share with you if required.
There are 13 bedrooms at Ascot House all of which are complete with central heating, complementary tea and coffee, hair dryers, television and wireless broadband Internet. Two of these rooms (one double and one twin) are situated on the ground floor and are suitable for guests who do not wish to climb stairs. Twelve of the thirteen luxurious guest rooms are complete with en-suite facilities whilst one has a private bathroom. A choice of double, twin or family rooms is available.
Ascot House has a dedicated customer computer with Internet connection and wireless Internet access is available throughout the property. Well behaved pets are welcome. Private car parking allows our guests to forget about the car and explore the surrounds on foot or by bus.
