The Cavalier Hotel is a stunning Grade II listed Georgian town house dating back to 1794. This charming York B&B is centrally placed adjacent to Monkgate Bar, in the heart of York. We're the perfect accommodation base for exploring all of York's many attractions, just 500 yards from York Minster! Guests have easy access to York Museums, the JORVIK centre and both the Rail Station and major routes to the East coast, the Yorkshire Moors and Dales and also the A1/M1. Managers Elicia and Shane are happy to help you with your itineraries, travel plans, restaurant and taxi bookings.

Complimentary sherry is available for guests. Parking available upon request, either in reserved bays or garages. We also have a secure motorbike and cycle store. Free internet access available throughout. Fresh flowers, paintings and personal touches are to be found in abundance at the Cavalier Bed & Breakfast.

At the Cavalier, our comfortable rooms are non-smoking, en-suite, and come with full English breakfast included (vegans and vegetarians are catered for on request). The Cavalier has ten elegant bedrooms (including two large family rooms). Almost all are en-suite and for those rooms without private facilities there is ample bathroom capacity including shower and baths, and all remaining rooms are fitted with hand basin and bathrobes. Other amenities in rooms include colour TV/DVDs, CD/Radio/Alarm clocks, free tea and coffee, complimentary toiletries, fresh towels and hairdryers. Iron and ironing board facilities, ice and wine glasses, hair straightener, extra towels and toiletries are all available on request.
