The city of York is steeped in history and has much to offer the visitor - learn something of the city's Viking past at the Jorvik Centre, explore the narrow medieval streets of the Shambles, visit Cliffords Tower and take in the splendour of the magnificent York Minster. When night falls you will find no shortage of elegant bars, traditional pubs and fine restaurants providing a wide variety of cuisines from around the globe. The well informed staff have considerable knowledge of the city and surrounding area and are only too happy to provide advice on where to go and what to do.
