Hotel close to York city centre, 9 fully equipped & individually furnished rooms, private parking
The Farthings Guest House offers four star guest accommodation in a quiet cul de sac just ten minutes walk from York's historic city centre, racecourse and train station. This fabulous city has much to offer the casual visitor - spend some time wandering the narrow streets of the Shambles, explore the unique and interesting shops or find out more about the area's Nordic past at the Jorvik centre. The city's rich history is evident everywhere you turn, in buildings such as St William's College, York Minster, Walmgate Bar and Clifford's Tower.
Yorkshire itself has a wide range of attractions and the fabulous Yorkshire Dales, Moors and coast can all be easily reached in a day trip. The picturesque fishing towns and villages of the east coast are well worth a visit, particularly Whitby, Scarborough, Bridlington and Robin Hoods Bay. The North York Moors are a place of unspoilt beauty, dotted with charming villages and market towns where you will find shops selling the best produce the county has to offer. Other places of interest include the fabulous Castle Howard and Eden Camp, where you can learn something of what life was like in wartime Britain.
The Farthings Guest House has a range of double, twin and family rooms. Five of these are en-suite whilst the remaining four have vanity units in the rooms and share two bathrooms. We pride ourselves in our tasty breakfasts and are members of the Deliciously Yorkshire Breakfast scheme.
