The York Priory (formally the Priory Hotel) in is a friendly traditional family run hotel set in an excellent residential location only 10 minutes walk to York city centre and attractions including Jorvik and the Shambles specialist shopping area. The University, Racecourse and the McArther Glen designer outlet are all situated no more than a mile away from the hotel.
The Priory has real charm and character, retaining it's Victorian feel. Amenities are extensive, including a Licensed Bar, an elegant Breakfast Room and a beautiful garden surround, perfect for residents to relax in. No need to worry about parking in York, we have a large private car park for the use of guests where you can just park your car and forget about it until you decide to leave. Other facilities include a spacious residents TV lounge.

The Priory is truly a home away from home. All our rooms are tastefully decorated, with spacious rooms, ranging from a large 2 bedroomed adjoining family room sleeping upto 5 people to our cosy single room overlooking the gardens. The four poster and superior both have kingsize beds with oversized bathrooms. All the bedrooms are en-suite all have complimentry tea and coffee facilites, iron and ironing board and colour TV.

Directions
From the M1 South and M62 West, as you come up the M1 and approach Leeds you go under the M62. Immediately there is a sign saying Leeds East & A1 follow this exit it is the Leeds outer ring road. Follow it round for about 10 miles Eventually it will join the A1 then almost immediately you will see signs for A64 to York, follow this exit Continue on this for 14 miles. As you approach York avoid all signs to York city centre and continue on A64 until you see the third sign for York labelled the A19 York to Selby. It is after you have gone over the river Ouse and marked designer centre. Come off at this exit and Follow the signs for city centre the hotel is 2 miles on that road on the left hand side. From A1 South, continue on the A1 until you see the A63 towards Selby. Drive through Selby then continue on the A19 towards York when you reach the York boundary the hotel is 2 miles from this on the left hand side.
