Beech House in central York is a beautifully appointed, family run property. This elegant guest house is a charming Victorian Town House, refurbished throughout, combining original features with all modern amenities and a fresh contemporary style. Centrally situated in a quiet tree-lined street, the Beech House is just a 5 minute walk to the centre of York so benefiting from easy access to all of York's splendid attractions. We are also close to the Register Office for civil weddings. Beech House has been graded ETC 4 Star for the highest of standards of comfort and service. We are non smoking throughout.

Our extensive breakfast menu includes a breakfast bar from which you can choose from fruit juice,cereal, prepared fresh fruit, homemade yogurt and locally produced preserves and a full cooked breakfast (we also cater for vegetarian and special diets). Described by VisitBritain hotel inspector as one of the top ten breakfasts in Yorkshire in her 16years experience. Following a delicious breakfast why not enjoy a relaxing Riverside walk into York or perhaps a stroll through the Museum Gardens. Less than 10 minutes walk from the train and bus station. Parking is available for guests arriving by car both on and off road. Guests have access to a comfortable guest lounge, which is the perfect spot for a relaxing read or watching TV.

Rooms Description

All our rooms have been refurbished with new en-suite facilities, with either a shower and/or bath, which compliments the modern decoration. We are able to offer double, twin and single rooms. Each room has a colour television, alarm clock radio, hairdryer, hospitality tray and complimentary toiletries. All rooms are completely no-smoking and are fully double-glazed with central heating. Rooms are available from lunchtime, and bags can be left from 8am. Check in is between 12 to 2pm or 6 to 8pm.

Celerbrating a special occasion or just want to treat yourselves why not take advantage of pre ordering a bottle of chilled Champange/wine. Hand made chocolates or flowers can also be arranged. We are also able to offer a selection of beers, wines and spirits during your stay which can be enjoyed in the comfort of your room or in the guest lounge. A computer with Internet access is available for those who need to work or for keeping friends and relatives upto date with your latest holiday news.
