The Bentley is an elegant Victorian town house situated just 8-10 minutes' walk from the historic centre of York. We are the proprietors, Steve and Margaret Bradley, and we look forward to meeting you and delivering the friendly, high quality service we've built our reputation on.

All our rooms are en suite and prettily decorated with fresh, colourful linen and interesting pictures. As well as towels, soap and shower gel, we provide a TV, a hair dryer and a tray with a kettle and a selection of sachets of tea, coffee and drinking chocolate, together with some biscuits. Each room also has a mini decanter of sherry, which you can drink as an aperitif or, if you prefer, as a night cap. To make you feel even more at home there are pot plants and fresh cut flowers.

A superb breakfast is one of the highlights of a stay at the Bentley. There is a choice of cereals, fresh-fruit salad, dried fruits softened in apple juice, plain and fruit yoghurts, home-made jams and marmalade, home-baked brown and white bread, as well as the traditional full English grilled breakfast of bacon and egg, sausage, black-pudding, hash-browns, baked beans, mushrooms and tomatoes. For those wanting a lighter meal, we offer smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Vegetarian options are available provided we have notice.
