The Groves is located on a quiet tree lined cul-de-sac and is a simple ten minute walk to York city centre. Here you can find four star standard Guest Accommodation in comfortable surroundings with a residents bar and lounge. The original building dates back to the eary 1900's with many of the original features being reatined to date such as the grand staircase and the leaded windows. The Groves has since had two separate buildings added to the rear which are now used as guest bedrooms. All rooms have been refurbished throughout 2009 and 2010 and offer comfortable beds, 32" flatscreen digital TV, private ensuite (shower - no baths!), hospitality tray of tea and coffee, and toiletries.

When visiting the Groves you can stay in one of our 20 rooms and enjoy the complimentary breakfast provided each morning. Ideally located, from the Groves you can access all that York has to offer. There is fun for all the family at the Jorvik Viking Centre where you can venture to the past and learn of the settlers of the area. York Minster is a classic tourist attraction in the city as are the York Shambles, one of the most well preserved group of medieval streets today. If you are brave try stopping by the York Dungeon or go on a Ghost Hunt tour in the evening. With so much to do everyone will be pleased and ready to enjoy our extraordinarily comfortable beds at The Groves. The Groves is not suitable for children under 5yrs.
