The New Inn, situated on a crossroads in Thornton-le-Dale, dates back to 1720, and was once a Georgian coaching house. Recently refurbished, guests can be assured of luxurious bedrooms, superb real ales, and an extensive range of wines and spirits. Our restaurant serves delicious meals at lunchtimes and in the evening, each created using the finest locally sourced ingredients. Our desserts are all home made and are definitely not for those who are counting the calories!
Thornton le Dale is well placed for exploring the delights of the local area and visitors will find Pickering and the steam railway just two miles down the road. Dalby Forest is also just ten minutes away and the popular Yorkshire coast resort of Scarborough can be reached in just twenty minutes. A little further afield, York and its array of independent shops, museums, galleries and restaurants is well worth a visit.
The New Inn at Thornton le Dale offers six luxurious guest bedroom, each equipped with an individually hand crafted bedstead. Each room is complete with colour television and tea and coffee making facilities.
We also offer guests our holiday cottage for renting - Willow Cottage in the centre of Thornton-le-Dale, which is set within its own grounds to the rear of the pub and accommodates a maximum of six guests. Please give us a call for further details.
