The proprietors of The Old Black Bull have been welcoming guests for nearly 17 years, and offer a friendly Yorkshire Inn welcome. This charming Yorkshire inn is ideally situated just two miles from the small Georgian town of Easingwold in the village of Raskelf, which is just off the A19 York(14 miles) to Thirsk( 8 Miles), close to James Herriot country. Raskelf village has a beautiful church with a wooden steeple. We're perfectly located for touring North Yorkshire being just over an hour from Scarbrough, Whitby & Filey. Ripon & Harrogate are just 30 minutes and 45mins away. Thirsk with the Herriot Museum is just 8 miles up the A19. Both the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors are easily within an hours drive. The Old Black Bull is also well placed for racing in Yorkshire Redcar, Catterick and Sedgefield.

Meals are served every evening & Friday ,Saturday & Sunday Lunch Monday bank holiday Lunch also. With a wide and varied selection of home-made meals. Our restaurant is small and cosy, perfect for that romantic getaway, with a candlelit evening atmosphere. A 3-course Table d'hote £10.50 menu is available at every session. Traditional Sunday Lunch is served from 12.00 till 2.00pm main course £6.95 with a choice of Roasts and Home-made Yorkshire pudding.
