Property Information

Ingleby Manor offers 4 Star Gold Award Accredited self catering apartments in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. This 16th Century Grade II* Listed Manor House is set in its own 50 acre estate with trout stream and formal walled gardens. As Christmas draws near and the air becomes crisp, the festivities begin when a 20ft high Christmas tree from the woods is brought in and manhandled into position in the Great Hall to the accompaniment of Christmas carols and the fortification of mulled wine, we end the celebrations perfectly with a party in the Old Tudor Kitchen on Twelfth Night. A range of apartments are available combining modern luxury with a great sense of antiquity and breathtaking views across the moorlands. Experience historic country house living at this elegant and unique property.

Ingleby Manor is surrounded by its own gardens and grounds but is also in a naturally secluded position. On three sides the 1000 foot high Cleveland Hills rise to the moors and create an amphitheatre around the Greenhow valley, and on the fourth, a half-mile private avenue connects the house to Ingleby village and the outside world. Ingleby Manor is ideally situated for exploring both the North York Moors National Park, the beautiful and impressive east coast around Whitby and the historic cathedral cities of Durham and York. From Ingleby Manor a walk and a climb of half an hour will take you onto some of the highest moorland in the Park and onto the Cleveland Way, Lyke Wake Walk and Coast to Coast long distance footpaths. Cycling, horse riding, fishing and many other outdoor activities are all available locally, including an adventure centre for climbing, abseiling, canoeing and orienteering days and a modern and well -equipped leisure centre.
