Masham is a thriving community and has a host of interesting shops to browse around as well as a number of cafes, great pubs and several restaurants. It is also home to two breweries, Theakstons and Black Sheep, which visitors can look around and sample their award winning ales. Masham is well placed for touring the local area and is known as The Gateway to the Dales. There are some great walks on your doorstep and several nature reserves to discover. The historic city of York and spa town of Harrogate are all within easy reach by car. There are also a host of tourist attractions nearby to suit all ages and interests including The Forbidden Corner at Leyburn, Lightwater Valley Theme Park, the restored Wensleydale Railway, Fountains Abbey and Newby Hall and Gardens. Masham is also well placed to enjoy a number of sporting activities. There is a 9 hole golf course just 5 minutes walk away from the cottage. Bedroom one has a king size pine bed whilst bedroom two has twin pine beds. All beds have locally handmade Dales mattresses, guaranteeing a restful night's sleep. In the bathroom visitors will find a whirlpool bath and shower.
A welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits is provided so you can have a restorative drink on your arrival. All linen including towels is provided. For the comfort and safety of all guests the accommodation is fully non smoking throughout and pets are not permitted. Children are most welcome. Short breaks are available all year round.
