An architectural award winning Victorian building, The School House was built in 1860, and has been lovingly restored in 2007 to provide spacious, relaxing accommodation for those who enjoy their luxuries! This stunning former headmaster's house is just 200 yards from Reeth's delightful village green,and has enviable views over the village, the Swale Valley, and Fremington Edge.

The owners pride themselves on their personal service, offering a warm welcome and a reviving drink on arrival, for both weary walkers and those who just want to enjoy one of the finest views in Swaledale. There are unparalleled opportunities for walking and cycling in the area, and the delightful village of Reeth has several pubs and restaurants offering excellent food, as well as famous local ale! The village is well known as a centre for artists and sculptors, and there are several galleries.

Rooms Description

Directly on Wainwright's Coast to Coast route, the School House offers all modern comforts including; en suite accommodation, double and twin rooms, tea and coffee making facilities, drying facilities, bicycle storage and internet facility. Traditional breakfasts made to order using locally sourced produce.

Specialities

Evening meal by request for groups. Packed lunches available on request. Unfortunately the accomodation is unsuitable for children. For comfort and safety of all guests the accomodation is fully non smoking htroughout.
