The Stable Block is a newly converted 19th Century stable building just off the market square in the picturesque market town of Masham. The accommodation is within easy walking distance of all amenities, pubs, shops and of course Masham's famous breweries-The Black Sheep and Theakstons. The cottage itself is a comfortable 'home from home' and is thoughtfully furnished. The open plan dining/sitting area has a forty inch plasma TV, full Sky package, playstation2 or X-box. There is underfloor heating throughout to ensure your warmth and comfort if you are planning to visit in the colder months. There are shared laundry facilities available for your convenience and meals and picnics can be packed on request. Outdoors, there is a gourmet gas barbecue in the shared, fenced garden for your use.

The town of Masham is superbly placed for walking and visiting local attractions. A market has been held here since 1393 withn a charter was granted by Richard II and the town subsequently thrived due to the easy access of the flocks from nearby Fountains and Jervaulx Abbeys. It still hosts a market every Wednesday and Saturday, and there are plenty of welcoming pubs and delightful tearooms. The Stable Block can also be rented with the main house, Morton House which combined can sleep up to 16 persons.

Rooms Description

We have three beautifully furnished rooms sleeping 5/6 persons. There is a double bedroom downstairs with en-suite shower room and upstairs there is a king size and a single room (with pull-out) with second shower room. A cot and highchair can be provided for a baby.

The downstairs is all on one level, no steps to the downstairs bedroom or shower room and wc - ideal for older guests with limited mobility. All linen and electricity is included as well as a welcome basket with life's necessities on your arrival. Great location to walk to pubs and cafes, visit the market and many galleries in Masham and close to the Dales National Park for spectacular scenery.
