Self catering cottages converted from a 19th Century coach house in bustling Richmond, North Yorks

Our self-catering Garden Cottages are set in the half an acre of the gardens of West End Guest House. All occupy a peaceful and tranquil setting. These holiday cottages were converted in 1992 from a 19th century coach house and retain their charm and character, whilst offering all modern conveniences. There are four cottages, each has two bedrooms, one double and one twin, a lounge/dining area with fully fitted kitchen, tiled bathroom with three piece suite, and an electric shower over the bath and shaver point. The kitchen equipment consists of full range oven, fridge, microwave cooker and all other equipment expected in a modern kitchen.

Richmond is an ideal area to enjoy a holiday in what is now popularly known as "Heriott Country". Turning right from the West End house you are in the Dales and on the road to the Lakes which are a comfortable day trip away. In the Dales themselves you'll find attractive towns such as Hawes and Reeth; Castles including Bolton Castle which imprisoned Mary Queen of Scots; impressive waterfalls at Aysgarth and Muker and beautiful, quiet walks.

Rooms Description

Each cottage has it's own paved patio area with garden furniture and private off-street parking is also provided. There is a coin operated laundry washer and dryer available for guests use and a gas barbecue for hire, allowing guests to enjoy the patio and garden area in the summer. Perfect for relaxing outdoors!

Specialities

The cottages are perfectly located for walking. Leisurely walks can be enjoyed along the banks of the River Swale which is just 5 minutes stroll from West End Garden Cottages and there are many spots to enjoy a picnic and where children can play. Ideal for families with children.
