Peel Castle Luxury Bed & Breakfast - Skipton

As featured on Grand Designs, a lovingly restored castle providing luxury B&B & self catering between Skipton & Settle.

Hellifield Peel is set down a private, tree lined drive and is surrounded by parkland on the border of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There has been a manor house on the site for over 1000 years and the main part of the house was built by one of the last Templar Knights, Sir John Harcourt. More recently, the property was featured in the Channel 4 programme 'Grand Designs' where the buildings progress from ruin to fabulous family home was charted.

To help fund the restoration work the house is open for bed and breakfast or self catering bookings from July 2007. This will enable others, both history enthusiasts and lovers of the beautiful county of Yorkshire, to enjoy this historic house and its fabulous setting. The house is conveniently located seven miles north of the market town of Skipton and six miles south of Settle, and just one hour's drive from the urban centres of Leeds and Manchester.

Rooms Description

The Attic Suite houses an en-suite double bedroom, modern sitting room and fabulous roof terrace. The Square, Chapel and Old Bedrooms are large en-suite doubles with poster beds & antique furniture. The Attic Suite also contains a galley kitchen and is available as a self catering let. The Old Bedroom is suitable for use as a family or twin.
