Janet & John offer a warm welcome to their guests. Since taking over the Guest House, we have now re-opened and commenced an ongoing extensive refurbishment programme, as we want to return this unique building to it’s former glory. Our guests comfort and enjoyment are always our priority.
Our sea front Hotel in Scarborough’s North Bay is in easy walking distance of the North & South Bay. There is an abundance of restaurants in the town, Anne Bronte's grave is located in St.Mary's church yard being just 2 minutes walk from the castle by the sea guest house. Also available for your enjoyment are Stephen Joseph Theatre and the lively night life and plenty of entertainment in Scarborough. There are 2 golf courses, indoor bowls, Scarborough Cricket Club, Peasholm Park, swimming pool, sea life centre, Scarborough Harbour and fishing, both sea and fresh water.
The Castle by the Sea's bedrooms are all ensuite with tea and coffee making facilities with colour TV's. Some of the bedrooms have magnificent views stretching out over the North Bay and on to Ravenscar Cliffs, the highest cliffs in Yorkshire. We provide newspapers every morning as we want you to be comfortable during your stay. Please let us know if there is anything else you need. We have Wireless internet access , which is provided free of charge.
The Hotel Dining Room caters for all dietary requirements, please inform us at the time of booking. Separate tables are provided in the unusually spacious dining room where you can partake in the delights of good home cooking prepared using the finest quality produce from around the area for breakfast and evening meal coupled with a full drinks license. Specializes in private parties, Wedding receptions, birthdays,annerversaries,christenings, childrens parties, funeral and memorial teas. We cater to small intimate dinner parties to larger celebrations of upto 60 people for an informal Buffett.
