Directions

Leave the MI at J33 and go into Sheffield. From Sheffield, initially take A61N and then A57 (Glossop). The last buildings as you leave Sheffield on the A57 are the Bell Hagg pub and, opposite, the Valleyside garden centre. About ¾ mile later, take the first right (Rails Road). Go straight across at the cross-roads and continue up Rails Road until you enter Stannington. Immediately after the Stannington road sign, turn left on Reynard Lane. At the T junction, turn left (Upper Gate Road). Follow this road for approx 1½ miles and take the first right turn (signposted Load Brook). Go to the bottom of the hill. As the road bends to the right and you start to go uphill again, the entrance to Load Brook Cottages is on the left by a large tree. There is a sign on the wall.
