Beverley is one of north east England's premier towns, its minster the superior of many an English cathedral. The cobbled lanes and elegant Georgian and Victorian terraces are the essence of a traditional market town. Easy access to Hull and good for exploring the Yorkshire Wolds, the attractive rolling hills which are the northernmost of the chalkland downs.
