The Downe Arms Country Inn sits on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, with Wykeham Forest behind. Being only 10 minutes from Scarborough and 15 minutes from Pickering, we are superbly located for a relaxing break with cycling, walking and sightseeing on our doorstep- the steam engine and the 'Heartbeat' village of Goathland are must sees! In addition excellent fishing and watersports facilities can be found in the village of Wykeham itself and golf courses and outdoor sports activities are within easy distance of the Downe Arms. Try out our traditional bar with its oak beams, hand pulled local beers and a great range of wines from around the world. Our chefs use seasonal and local produce to create both traditional and more adventurous dishes. Dogs are welcome in the bar where you can eat both at lunch times and dinner. On Sunday we host our popular Sunday Lunch Carvery with traditional roasts and all the trimmings. We have 10 individual en-suite rooms, all offering a charming and indulgent place to relax and enjoy. All rooms are equipped with television, welcome booklet and refreshment tray. Superior rooms are larger and offer king size beds, quality toiletries and a bath robe. Our brand new bridal suite has a romantic four poster bed, window seat and soft seating area.
