Jenny Wren is a charming one bedroom traditional stone cottage situated in the picturesque Wensleydale town of Middleham. The town is renowned for its history and race horses and the 12th century Norman Castle was once the home of King Richard III. The quaint market square is partially cobbled and offers a wide range of shops, pubs and places to eat. The town is an excellent base for walking and touring in the Yorkshire Dales. There are numerous visitor attractions nearby including the award winning Forbidden Corner. There is plenty to see and do within easy reach of the cottage including the market towns of Leyburn, Masham, Richmond and Hawes. The historic city of York and the spa town of Harrogate are also well worth visiting.
The cottage has been lovingly restored and makes an ideal romantic retreat for couples. The property retains many of its original features, combining olde worlde charm with modern and stylish amenities. The cottage has old oak beams and exposed stonework and has a cosy sitting room with feature stone fireplace and woodburning stove. The living area is equipped with Freeview TV, DVD player, CD player and a small library of DVD's, CD's, and books. There is also a selection of games for your enjoyment. One well behaved pet is welcome. Free Wireless Internet Access is available to our guests.
Jenny Wren Holiday Cottage has one double bedroom with kingsize bed. Shower room with shower, basin and WC. The fitted kitchen includes dishwasher, washer/dryer, oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer and a separate dining area.
Externally there is a small patio with table and chairs. A gas BBQ is also provided. The cottage is personally supervised for comfort and cleanliness by the owners. Electricity, bed linen, towels and starter pack for the wood burning stove is included. Jenny Wren is a no smoking property.
