Enjoy a hearty breakfast in our welcoming dining room.Looking for that perfect break? Would like a weekend away or a few glorious days by the sea? Want to stay in one of the most romantic and beautiful villages that England has to offer? Then a warm welcome awaits you at FALCONHURST Bed and Breakfast in Robin Hood's Bay. Falconhurst is a large Victorian double fronted link detached house, built for Captain Charles Taylor and his family in 1898, Since then it has been the family home for the Taylors, Storms, Coopers and more recent migrants attracted to this wonderful village. It is now owned and managed by Ann and Cliff Southcombe. Over the past eight years we have refurbished the whole house whilst being careful to retain many of its original features, its sense of history and its charm as a sea captain's house.
Falconhurst is in 'upper Bay' on Mount Pleasant South, one of three quiet roads comprised of large Victorian houses and some bungalows that overlook the Bay and the cosy old fishing village. The roads are part of the famous 'Cleveland way' walking and hiking route and also the last leg of the well known Coast to Coast walk. the Village shop and post office is round the corner, run by Steve and Brenda who sell everything with a smile and a friendly welcome Robin Hoods Bay also has its own broadband co-operative, based at Falconhurst. Visitors can also enjoy fast broadband. For more information ring Cliff at 0845 330 8311
