The Old Deanery Hotel and Restaurant is situated in the heart of Ripon, opposite Ripon Cathedral. The Old Deanery was built in the seventeenth century on the site of a former monastery of St Wilfred and, in later years, Lewis Carroll is known to have spent time here. More recently still this charming grade II listed building has been lovingly renovated to create a luxurious eleven bedroom hotel and restaurant - with parking behind the walls.
The hotel has become a popular venue for weddings and special occasions and we have a license for civil ceremonies. Our wedding co-ordinator is on hand to offer support and advice throughout the planning of your big day. The hotel is ideal for romantic breaks, offering four poster rooms and romantic breaks include flowers in the room, a bottle of champagne and a full Yorkshire breakfast. Our AA rosette awarded restaurant is the perfect place for party celebrations or an intimate dinner for two.
