Prospect End Bed and Breakfast is a delightful Victorian house just ¾ mile west of Hebden Bridge town centre, overlooking woodland and the hills of the South Pennines. Non smoking throughout, the guest house is very private, virtually self-contained and has it's own entrance via the garden. Parking is adjacent and we are located close to public transport links. Rail station transfers are included for stays of two or more nights, and the Trans-Pennine rail link gives easy access from Manchester, Bradford, Leeds, and York. A Bus stop is also conveniently situated just 200 yds from the B&B.
Hebden Bridge is a historic mill town recently voted Number 1 in the UK for small shops! This area of West Yorkshire also offers stunning scenery and superb moorland walking along old packhorse trails. We are also situated close to the Rochdale Canal and the Pennine Way, and facilities are provided for walkers and cyclists. One mile away is historic Heptonstall, home to the remains of a 12th Century church and Sylvia Plath is buried in the churchyard. Also in Heptonstall are fascinating Huguenot weavers' cottages and an octagonal Methodist chapel where Wesley preached. Guests have their own keys to come and go as they please, and all rooms are comfortable with en-suite facilities, toiletries, hospitality tray, TV/radio, alarm clock and hairdryer. Central heating plus individual room heating is also available and guests can choose from one twin and one double room. Our extensive breakfast menu includes vegetarian choices and room trays for early departures can be ordered. Any special diet is happily catered for with prior notice. A variety of evening eating venues, including a selection of great Yorkshire pubs serving fine food and Yorkshire real ales, are nearby and within easy walking distance.
