Awarded VisitBritain 4 star are Low Moor Holiday Cottages, located on Yorkshire's popular East Coast, just outside the village of Scalby, close to Scarborough and within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. These superbly appointed self catering holiday cottages are well placed for exploring all that this wonderful area has to offer so, whether you are looking for a scenic walks, fabulous views, castles, stately homes or traditional seaside resorts, you are sure to find something to suit within easy reach. Each cottage has the added bonus of a private secure garden with garden furniture and private parking. 2 cottages are all on ground floor level. Bike storage is not a problem. All our properties are modern and maintained by us to the highest of standards. They are all equipped with freeview televisions and DVD players and where applicable offer good quality cots, highchairs and sofabeds.
The popular coastal resort of Scarborough is just three miles away and has a host of attractions for all the family. A little further down the coast is the fishing town of Filey and the seaside resort of Bridlington. Heading north from Scarborough will bring you to the fishing port of Whitby, accessible by the scenic Scarborough to Whitby railway. Inland lies the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, home to Goathland, the setting for ITV's Heartbeat television series. There are lovely walks from the door and the old Scarborough to Whitby railway line is easily accessible by foot or bike. Popular Dalby Forest with Go Ape is only a 25 minute pleasant car journey and offers miles of mountain bike tracks and an excellent visitors centre. Remember aswell that bike storage is available at your cottage !
Stable Cottage (VisitBritain 4 Star) is a four bedroom barn conversion sleeping up to eight people, ideal for families and larger groups. Wren Cottage and Barn Owl Cottage (VisitBritain 4 Star) both sleep four/six people and would suit families or couples alike. Badger Cottage (VisitBritain 4 Star) sleeps two/four people. The Old Dairy sleeps two, perfect for the single person or couple. All accommodation is well equipped with fully fitted kitchen, Freeview LCD TV, DVD and CD player. Barn Owl Cottage and The Old Dairy are both all on ground floor level. All cots, fold up beds, highchairs and sofabeds - if required - are of good quality and the linen is supplied free of charge. Please note that we can take most major card payments over the phone to secure your booking.
Secure storage for bikes is available. Ample private parking. Each cottage has its own private secure garden with garden furniture. No smoking inside cottages. No pets. Group bookings welcome - we can sleep up to a maximum of 26 people plus cots/z-beds. Linen for extra guests on sofabeds free of charge. NOTE that 2 cottages are all on ground floor level.
