Castle Cottage is located in the heart of the Old Town of Scarborough. Within minutes walk of the historic Castle and less than one minute to the famous St Mary’s Church where the Bronte grave is situated, Garibaldi Street and St Mary’s Walk are typically “old town” in style, with houses painted in bright colours and very picturesque . Although close to all the local amenities, it is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Perfect for spending the day on the beach, at the Castle or the local shops and market-vaults.

The Castle and the sea can be seen from the back garden and upper rooms. South Bay Beach (European Blue Flag status) is five minutes walk away, and North Bay can be seen by walking a few minutes and the Town Centre is about 5 mins away. There are numerous restaurants, cafes and pubs within 5 minutes walk. Scarborough's famous North Bay can be accessed also via Marine Drive or a lovely ride on the open top bus.

Rooms Description

Entrance at street level, hallway, bedroom with twin beds (one is pull-out)and TV. Stairs lead down to the garden level where there is a cosy sitting room with dining area, this room has a natural slate tiled floor and feature fireplace,plus Freeview TV, DVD and video player. Through the double French Doors, the south facing sun-trap patio garden has been beautifully designed with rustic Spanish tiles, an arched seating area, railway-sleeper raised beds, BBQ and is a lovely place to relax and socialize. There is a compact but well-equipped kitchen, including a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave,and double oven. From street level three steps lead up to a spacious and beautifully decorated bathroom with roll top bath, shower over the bath, toilet and washbasin. On the next floor is a good-size bedroom with a double four-poster style bed , built-in wardrobes and TV. On the floor above is a bedroom with a double bed and built-in wardrobes. This room has a view of the sea over the rooftops. There is an attic room that has a double bed, and has outstanding views over the Harbour, Bay and Castle. The cottage seats up to 6 people comfortably (in the dining room) but sleeps 8.

Non-smokers only (an ashtray is provided in the garden). Pets by special arrangement only-please contact owners. On street parking near the cottage (permit provided by the owner). Wi Fi Internet connection and electricity & gas at no extra charge. All bedding provided but not towels.
